Grey Guardian Farm proudly offers both riding and groundwork lessons to those from novice to experienced skill sets with your owned or leased horse.

 

One-hour private lesson - $65

One half hour private lesson - $45

One hour group lesson (minimal of 2 riders, max of 4) - $55/rider

 

Grey Guardian Farm has a select few horses available, which may be a good fit for a client's skill level for under saddle or groundwork lessons at the Farm. If utilizing a Grey Guardian Farm horse, a flat fee of $35 will be added to the above prices.

A mileage fee of $0.75 per mile will be added to lesson locations outside of Grey Guardian Farm's service areas. 

Half Training

$315 Monthly. 3 days a week. Ideal for active horse owners who need help keeping their horse polished and behaving well. Riding lessons are an additional cost. Multiple month packages for half training are available by request.

Full Training

$485 Monthly. 5 days a week to include 1 hour lesson/week for horse and rider/owner. Ideal for a horse needing a refresher before show season, or for owners who need an extra hand in bringing a young horse up to where the owner feels safe in handling the horse.

Two Month Training Package

$950. 2 months of full training to include 1 hour lesson/week for horse and rider/owner. Ideal for a horse who is in need of conditioning work, heavy show season preparation, or for better mannerism in hand and under saddle.

Three Month Training Package

$1,400. 3 months of full training to include 1 hour lesson/week for horse and rider/owner. Ideal for a horse who is in need to be introduced to saddle and rider for the first time or for horses who are learning or re-learning a new discipline.

Accelerated Monthly Horse & Rider Training

$925 Monthly. 5 days a week. This training is reliant on the owner’s full participation in the training. 2-3 formal hour-long lessons each week, and 2-3 training rides each week. Ideal for a horse and owner who need to work through a problem together, a horse who needs correctional training, or a horse who is well mannered but starting on a new discipline.

In addition to the fees listed above, a flat fee of $115 per month of training to cover mileage applies. By request, your horse may be hauled to Grey Guardian Farm for all monthly training and lessons in lieu of the mileage fee.

Training package of your choice stated above plus full care boarding at Grey Guardian Farm.

 

In addition to the cost of your training package selected, a flat fee of $415/month will be added to include full care boarding. Board includes a private lean to, straw or shavings for bedding, private heated water trough, and blanketing services if owner provides blanket. Grass hay will be provided by Grey Guardian Farm. Feed and supplements will be provided by the owner and fed by Farm staff twice daily. The horse’s area is mucked, at minimum, once per day.

Miscellaneous charges apply for extra services requested, such as holding horse(s) for farrier or vet appointments, hauling, trailer parking, deworming, clipping, etc.

We are happy to assist anyone in finding their dream horse. Grey Guardian Farm currently does not buy and sell horses, but we offer the service of helping potential owners (buyers) find the horse that fits their needs. A standard 10% commission of the horse’s final purchase price is the cost, plus mileage for trips relating to finding appropriate horses.

 

In addition to the use of resources and expertise searching for the horse, the commission includes an offer to ride the prospective horse(s) for the buyer, honest feedback on the appropriate fit for horse and rider/buyer, and open communication via phone calls, text messages, and emails during appropriate times of the day.

Grey Guardian Farm offers the service of helping owners (sellers) find their horse a new home. A standard 10% commission of the horse’s final selling price is the cost, plus mileage for related trips.

 

In addition to the use of resources and expertise searching for the horse's new home, the commission includes honest feedback on the prospective buyer(s) and open communication via phone calls, text messages, and emails during appropriate times of the day.

Grey Guardian Farm is honored to be on your showing team by coaching your riders or riding your horses at shows.

 

Fun shows, schooling shows, or clinics (examples include Latigo's Winter Buckle Series, Black Forest Saddle Club, etc.)

For trainer to show owner’s horse:

Half day - $75

Full day - $100

For trainer to coach a rider at the show:

Half day - $55

Full day - $80

Owner shall pay for any and all entry fees, ground fees, stall and bedding fees, lodging, or other related charges incurred for horse and trainer while horse is being shown or transported, including any and all lay-up charges in transit. For multiple riders or horses on the same show schedule, a flat $40 fee per additional applies. Breed Shows such as AQHA, APHA, ApHA, qualify for a $10 fee to all above prices. Miscellaneous charges apply for requested extra services such as hauling, pre-show and/or day-of bathing, grooming, clipping, mane pulling, tack cleaning, stall cleaning, feeding, braiding, banding, etc.
